Detour Montana book coverAxline is the author of Detour Montana: History by the Roadside, which provides a deep dive into the stories behind many of Montana’s roadside historical markers. The book takes readers along the aboriginal trails, territorial roads, historic bridges and fascinating stopping points connected to Montana’s lively and exciting transportation history.

Axline has been the historian at the Montana Department of Transportation since 1990. He is the author of Conveniences Sorely Needed: Montana’s Historic Highway Bridges, Taming Big Sky Country: The History of Montana Transportation from Trails to Interstates, The Beartooth Highway: A History of America’s Most Beautiful Drive and Montana Highway Tales. He is also the co-author of Hidden History of Helena with Ellen Baumler, and editor of Montana’s Historical Highway Markers.

How to Karaoke book coverTiscione is the author and illustrator of How to Karaoke: Even If You Hate Karaoke, a hilarious and insightful guide by this former karaoke DJ (aka “KJ”). This book is packed with invaluable tips and tricks to elevate your performance and make you the life of the party. Whether you’re a karaoke enthusiast or a reluctant participant, Tiscione’s witty and relatable advice will have you belting out tunes with confidence.

Tiscione is an illustrator, graphic artist and author, with notable clients such as the New York Post, MAD Magazine, Amazon and Marvel. She was the illustrator of Trent, a graphic novel with author Dino Stamatopoulos, as well as two comic books. Obsessed with karaoke since before it was legal to do in bars, she became a KJ and realized there was no how-to literature for anyone looking to improve their performance or enjoyment of the activity. Also, knowing how many people loathe karaoke, she wanted to outline etiquette that would make it a bit more palatable even to the haters. Hopefully.
